Battle of Cannae (216BC) 2nd Punic Wars

The Battle of Cannae took place in the 2nd Punic Wars in 216 BC. The army of Carthage was under Hannibal and the Romans were under consuls Lucius Amelilius Paullus and Gaius Terentius Varro. Hannibal surrounded and defeated the large Roman army. It became known as one of the worst defeats in Roman history. The Roman army was around 86,000. Hannibal used the double-envelopment tactic.

Battle of Eastfort (Planet of the Apes) (3081AD)

In October of 3081AD General Urko sends a small force to attack the two small hill forts guarding the small ford on the Ashfil river known as Eastfort hill. This was a maneuver to attempt to outflank Louscious's army of rebels. The objective is to capture both hills and become the vanguard for a much larger force on the march from Ape City.
