Paint Bench: Grand Manner 28mm Greek Temple Finished

I got a new Grand Manner Greek Temple in the mail awhile back and decided to put it together and paint it to add to my many Greek and Roman cities. It is made of resin and professionally cast. It was no problem to put it together, hardly any filing. I am very impressed with the quality.

White coat and first layer of roof. I use a flat white and then went back over it with an off white. The pics do not show it very well, but it has a greyish, whitish, creamish look. It looks better in person. Tomorrow I will dry brush the roof with some lighter Terra cota. Then I am going to make 3 or 4 temples out of foam starting this weekend.

You can tell in this pic how bright white it was....to much...I could not stand it. Too....new.

Here it is a bit toned down. Still need to dry brush the roof, but it was still wet.

Paint Bench: 28mm Giant Troll by Darksword Miniatures Finished!!!

Paint time: 4 days

I picked this up on Ebay a few days ago. A very cool find. I think I paid about $25 for it. I was hoping it would be large. And I was right, it is totally assume. I have put a scale to it, and it is about 75mm tall from foot to top of its hump back. Pretty impressive, and heavy at that. I needed a large troll for my upcoming adventures. It was made by Darksword Miniatures in 2004. It is now on my paint list to do...probably after I paint dwarf crossbow, which I will show later. I will use it in my battles of Mithgar and Lord of the Rings battles.

Paint Bench 28mm Dwarfs with crossbow from Sgt Major Miniatures (Vendel) Finished!!!

Here are some Dwarf Crossbow that I have on my paint bench that will be painted up soon. They are primed and ready. I will probably start these after the next batch of Greeks are done.

Washed and fleshed out the Dwarf crossbow. The figures are from the old Vendel line, now Sgt Major Miniatures. I think these minis are very detailed. I have about 96 other Dwarf infantry on the shelf, so I decided to add some crossbow.

Part 3

Painting these on the side as I paint up some Greeks, I got the cross bows painted up, not much progress.

Part 4

Finally putting some color on them, before I wash them a 2nd time.
