Warhammer 40K Valkyries

Here is my collection of my Warhammer 40K Valkyries.

I made these. Not the best paint jobs, but I can always go back and repaint them better since I have a better set of skills now.

These were bought off Ebay with a lot of drama involved. They were broken bad, but I fixed them back up and now they are flying again. Very nice paint jobs.

Another set I bought off Valkyries off Ebay, I like they very nice detail.

Paint Bench: 28mm Elf Re-basing project (Done)

Repaint Time: 1 day (233 Minis)

I am repainting all the bases on my Elf army. Most of them are already done, but I guess I want everything to be uniform as far as basing. The brown base makes the figure look a lot better.

28mm High Elf Army

Here is my completed High Elf army. I painted most of the Cavalry, 43 out of the 54 and about 210 of the 530 foot figures. I got the others from two others peoples collections in the UK and California. I found some really nice figures for a great price. I decided to beef up my Elf army for the Battle of Gondolin and various other battles in Middle Earth, Mithgar, Warhammer Fantasy and so on. I can use the ones I painted for Dark Elves as well.

Meanwhile, I am painting up some Goblin Wolf riders then finally I will play the Siege of Gondolin.

Balrog (Middle Earth) by Games Workshop

Here is an outstanding painted Balrog from Games Workshop that I just bought off Ebay. It was painted by the War Dragon Painting service out of China. Yes, China. I have ordered a few things from them and they have outstanding service. I was totally blown away by the detail, that I had to show it off. I got this Balrog for my Siege of Gondolin that I am still working on. I also will be posting my new Elf Army that I am still gathering for the battle next.

I have to admit, I can paint, but this model was a little out of my league to paint. I probably could have pulled it off, but it would take me forever to paint. So I decided to find one painted already. Again, there are so many people out there that can paint wonderfully, I have no problem buying stuff painted...I have had my paint brush time.

I almost want another one.....

Paint Bench: Warhammer 40K Valkyrie

Okay, switching gears from the ancients.
Awhile back I made a pair of Warhammer Valkyries to go with my other Sci-Fi stuff. I am not into Warhammer 40k, although I have been tempted by the terrain they make. I have a lot of AT-43 stuff that satisfies my need for Sci-Fi along with some Halo stuff as well as Terminators (you know the movie). But I felt that these Valkyries were just way to cool to pass up. So I gave it a go at trying to put them together. I am not much of a scale modeler but I think they turned out good. I painted them in an urban camo scheme

This model I enjoyed putting together.
I was determined to have very nice cockpit windows.

It took some time to tape those windows...not fun.

Painting the crew was right up my alley.

My interior detail was the best that I could do, it worked...besides how many people are going to look down inside there during a landing...but I still had to do a little detail.

A happy ending...

Finished product, not too bad for my first time.

At one time I had over 600 carded Star Wars figures on my walls as wall paper...sold them all to buy...miniatures to paint.
