Gladiator games in Pompeii (90 BC)

A Gladiator game in Pompeii on the eve of a Italian-Samsonite revolt during the Italian Social Wars in 90 BC. (11 years before the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. This gladiator game is the part of a two part game. The second game is the Italian rebellion that lead to the sack of Pompeii in 90 BC by the Italian allies in and around Pompeii, revolting for not being allowed Roman citizenship during the Italian Social Wars. 

28mm City of Atrax 198 BC

Here is another ancient city that I have purchased from Philip Viverito of LMW Works. The City of Atrax in Thessaly in 198 BC during the Punic Wars. The Romans besieged the Macedonian occupied city but failed to take it, because the Macedonian phalanx held the breached wall section.  The Romans tried to get a siege tower up the ramps that were constructed to fire down at the phalanx, but the siege tower fell over and the breach failed.
Here are some photos of the model at Fall In 2002. The Siege of Atrax made by Phil won many awards at Historicon and Cold Wars. It was made in 2000 by Phil. I am the proud new owner of it. One can never have too many buildings and city walls. I am running out of table though.

28mm Roman Marching Camp

Here is another model made by the great Philip Viverito of LMW Works. This is a Roman Marching Camp. Again the detail is superb and I am super happy to be the new owner of this great model. I definitely will need this when my Roman army invades Greece or Macedonia in my Wargods of Olympus games.

I was needing some terrain for my freshly painted Roman army, and I hit gold. The only thing I need now are some Gauls.

The detail on the model is great, the Precision Products Philip uses has a lot of great detail. I have used Precision Products to make various terrain pieces.

The Roman camp inside of the marching fort. My Black Tree Design Romans will enjoy this camp.
