Battle Of Brionne 2523

The Battle Of Brionne 2523

The year is 2523. A very large Black Orc army driven by Grimgor Ironhide has invaded Bretonnia in the south. The invasion route came out of the Irranna Mountains into the Carcassonne region. The Orc army after coming out a pass in the Irranna Mountains split into two hordes turning east towards Castle Carcassonne to lay siege, to cut off aid from the east. The other Horde marched west through Carcassonne towards Brionne following the south bank of the Brienne River. All of Northern Bretonnia came to the call of Brionne and met the massive Orc army just to the south of Brionne. Unknown to the Duke of Brionne an undead legion of ancient warriors, raised from the dead by Nagash, are marching out of northern lands of Estalia after landing off the coast of the Golfe Du Bidouze in a large black fleet of warships.

Battle of Sellasia 222 BC (Greek Social Wars)

The Battle of Sellasia 222 BC

The Battle of Sellasia was fought between Antigonos Donos of Macedonia and the two Kings of Sparta, Kleamenes on Mount Olympus and Eucleidas on Mount Eaus in 222 BC.
It is consider the last stand of the Spartans, who were trying to regain their former self three centuries before.

The road to Sparta lay between the two hills with the river Oenous running along the road. The Spartans felt the small pass was a strategic and vital location that needed to be defended. The pass is located near a small town calld Sellasia.

In the battle it was said that the Macedonians used Sarissas. In my battle they used 8 footers or Xystons. I decided to use them due to the type of terrain they were located in, and thought that the rough terrain would cause the Macedonian Phalanx to become disordered easily carring Sarissas. Some historians do not believe they used Sarissas and have doubts they would use 21 footers in this type of environment. I agree. This is more leaning towards historical facts of the terrain.

I played this against my wife, she played the Spartans and I the Macedonians. My wife won the game (again). So the Spartans were not defeated this time. We used rules called AD6 Ancients. I found the rules on the internet.

I liked these rules, very simple and adapt easy to 28mm figures.

Creating a rough hill like environment as described of the battle field, I created both Mt. Olympus and Eaus as a representation of the hills and rough terrain. And for game sake, I placed the Spartan forces on level ground to do battle with the Macedonia forces.

Zombie Apocalypse: Aftermath-Outside Atanta

Here is my first Zombie Game. Took me about 7 months to make everything for this table. Along with a few other things I already had on the shelf. I enjoyed making this table, it was a dream come true. I am having fun with this. My wife is in full zombie mode now!! Of course I had to begin outside of Atlanta where the Walking Dead started. And now my own Walking Dead Story line begins...

I plan on having this on my table for awhile (12'x16'). So I will be playing other things with it as well, mostly Apocalypse games, SciFi Games, etc.

My destroyed skyscrapers I made a long time ago, along with the streets and burned out cars.

And the game begins with 6 survivors entering the table. They are trying to rescue some of there people from a building that they got trapped in. They all communicate from small radios. I also added some Tension Power lines that I forgot to put on the table, which are really cool. I am using home made rules for now, which are working good. That is the fun part about it.
